René Mullin

Creative Director

BA. MA.

René completed a BA in Management in Edinburgh in 1997, later awarded an MA in Arts Management and Cultural Policy from Queens University in Belfast. Her three decades in management within the creative sector spans project management roles in graphic design, architecture, craft, visual arts and design.

 

Her role within this practice is as a creative director and studio project manager. Her academic research and interrogation of the role of place in the lives and work of artists is ongoing. She contributes extensive design knowledge, sustainability concern and aesthetic intuition to all of our design projects, selecting materials she can source trace, working with suppliers and clients to prioritise biodiversity and interventions that we can be proud of as they mature over time. Her cultural policy knowledge and how landscape architecture fits within the frameworks of policy in the areas of community, environment and economy is current. She is a member of the Landscape Research Group where her academic interest in the relationship between artists and place is developing.

She is a printmaker, published author and illustrator, currently an artist-member at Belfast Print Workshop.
